Choose the output format
Standard, 360, VR180, domemaster, cubemap, EAC and Mirror Dome.
The output format defines the projection written for the whole queue. Each clip keeps its own source format.
Available formats
- Standard video: a flat frame for normal players, with a virtual camera inside immersive sources.
- Equirectangular: the full sphere in a 2:1 frame, for YouTube 360, Meta Quest and VR players.
- VR180: the front hemisphere, 180° × 180° per eye in a square frame. VR180 is usually 3D side by side.
- Fisheye / domemaster: a square circle for domes and fulldome. The field of view sets the dome aperture, for example 180° or 200°.
- Cubemap and EAC: cube faces for specific players and pipelines.
- Mirror Dome: a prewarped frame for a projector and a spherical mirror, with a standard or custom warp mesh, or one shared by TholusOS.
Change the output format
- Choose the format in Export or in Output Format in the Inspector.
- Check Preview: changing the format can change the framing.
Flat videos placed in a 360, VR180 or dome keep the angle they were filmed with when the file records it, as iPhone and Apple Vision Pro spatial videos do, so scale and depth look natural.
